I use sign language with my 14 month old, and find it very useful.  She uses some signs very well, but there are some where her version of them is quite a lot different from the real sign.  I always use the correct sign and I'd expected her to gradually start using the signs correctly, but she's sticking with her modified versions.  Has anyone else had this problem?
